We are happy to announce the Grand Opening of [Living] tomorrow evening Friday April 10th, 2009 at 5:30PM SL! We invite everyone to stop by and take a look at our new store and collection of homes for Spring. Refreshments will be served. This is a causal event. We hope to see you all there! A house is made of walls and beams; a home is built with love and dreams.
What is Living?:
Living is a new and original prefab and interior design store from Aya Liotta and Mainit Hellman. As a team we have collaborated Mainit’s outstanding building skills and combined them with Aya’s impeccable sense of home decorating, styling, and color to make a whole new style of SecondLife® Living.
What made you open a prefab and interior decorating store?
Living was inspired with home in mind. After searching the grid for a home for ourselves Mainit and I became quite frustrated. Nothing seemed to feel like a home to us. I decided to build a sky home, later featured in Vain Inc. Magazine (March 09), then I felt our daughters needed a home not a sky box in the sky. We searched for a home; again to no avail we were unable to find a prefab house. Mainit got to work designing and creating a farm house for us. I pulled color swatches, bought, ordered and created textures. Together we collaborated to make our house a home. We enjoyed building the homes so immensely, we began working on custom homes for private clients and then decided to venture into prefabs, branding and creating [Living].
We hope everyone will enjoy living as much as we do and celebrate our grand opening this coming weekend with us. Formal announcement on the opening will be posted soon!
